Meet the Player!
Hi!
My name is Lucy, I was born on 20th July 2000, I’m 26 and I was 19 when ACNH was released in March 2020!I have many hobbies and interests and ACNH is a big one! I think I first played Animal Crossing when I was younger - if I remember correctly, it was Wild World on the DS! I also played Pocket Camp when that was originally released but I haven't in a long time. Then I played New Horizons on the Switch as soon as it was released! Looking forward to the Switch 2 and hopefully another Animal Crossing soon!In this log, I will just be talking about New Horizons!

My Islands!
The First Island
Name: I don't remember :(
Native fruit: Peaches
Native flower: ?
Airport colour: Yellow
Starter villagers: Antonio & RenéeI made my first ACNH island when the game was released on 20th March 2020. I don’t actually remember what I named the island but here is what I do remember about my first New Horizons experience :)I was really loving the game and I was playing it everyday! I was enjoying just following along with the tutorial and making a nice environment! From pictures, I can see that I had Antonio and Renée as starter villagers. Then, my three villagers to join were Vesta, Doc and Maddie. Afterwards, I got Kidd as my first campsite villager. Then I got Graham, Ellie, Avery and Lucha (I’m unsure of the order after Graham). Not long after the game’s release, it became very popular and desirable to have a beautiful, symmetrical and aesthetically-pleasing island. After a while, I started to also desire that and tried to make things symmetrical and pretty but I would often get frustrated as, at the time, I didn’t fully understand the game yet or what exactly I wanted to do with my island. I began to get upset when I saw other people’s islands and felt like mine wasn’t good enough. I know better now and definitely don’t feel like that anymore but back then I did, and after only about 2 months of playing, I decided I should erase my island and take a break, so I did! After that I didn’t play again for quite a while! It’s a sad beginning to my ACNH love but I adore the game and no longer put so much pressure on myself!Dream Address:

Angel Cove!
Name: Angel Cove
Native fruit: Pears?
Native flower: ?
Airport colour: Blue
Starter villagers: Mira & CoachMy second island!I started playing the game again just before 2.0 update was announced which was great timing! The update came out on 4th November 2021 so it’s likely that I made Angel Cove in September or October 2021! I had thought about playing it again many times before that but just never got around to it.In 2021, Josh and I began our relationship and I had actually given him my yellow Switch Lite because I had gotten the coral version instead so I thought it would be amazing if we both played the game, had our own islands and played together, etc! So that’s what we did! I named mine Angel Cove because Josh always call me an angel and Josh named his Manchester because he loves Manchester! We really enjoyed playing the game, especially together! We had a spreadsheet for catching the fish and bugs and we would always make sure we caught the current month’s available fish and bugs before the month was over which was really fun! It was really exciting to be there for the 2.0 update as well! For Angel Cove, I wanted to design it a very specific way. At the time, my mind felt very overwhelmed so I wanted to make my island very organised and have designated sections for everything. My style in the game has definitely changed since then, which you can see in my later islands, but I did really like the way I designed Angel Cove. I feel like it allowed me to get back into the game calmly and keep everything organised and systemised so I didn’t feel overwhelmed! For the design itself, some of the sections I had included a neighbourhood, flower garden, zen garden, orchard, rock garden, vegetable garden, etc.I think I had villager changes on Angel Cove but at the time of uploading the dream address, my villagers were Maple, Skye, Tipper, Gala, Sprinkle, Cookie, Raymond, Ellie, Tad and Shino.Dream Address:

Aurawood!
Name: Aurawood
Native fruit: Peaches?
Native flower: ?
Airport colour: Orange
Starter villagers: ?Aurawood was the third island and the one that really helped me to discover my love for farmcore! It was also the island where I really figured out how I wanted to decorate\terraform!I’m not sure exactly when I started this island but since I finished it around 16th September 2022, I think I probably started it in the beginning of 2022!When I first created Aurawood, I actually wanted it to be forestcore, but after trying it out, I realised it wasn’t completely for me. I ended up trying farmcore which is now my favourite theme! It also follows a no-tile-left-behind approach meaning that I like filling every space, whether it’s with items, custom designs, weeds, etc. That's what I like doing on all my islands now!The island is very natural looking and includes areas like a picnic in a flower field, a vegetable farm, a flower shop, a hiking path, a sunken pathway, etc. It has very natural dirt paths and the items are neutral-coloured and farm themed!I had many villager changes on this island but at the time of completing it and uploading the dream address, the villagers were Melba, Fauna, Maple, Molly, Coco, Vivian, Erik, Goldie, Lily and Marshall.I’m very proud of this island and thankful for it as it helped me to figure out my style of designing!Dream Address:

Lucy’s Villager Ranking!
Villager tier lists have been very popular in the community and I wanted to make my own for a couple of reasons!Firstly, it would just be really cool to see an organised ranking of my favourite to least favourite villagers!Secondly, it would be helpful for Josh to know which villagers are my favourites in case he wants to buy me ACNH-themed presents! Also, using the online tier list is great because you’re able to add or remove tiers and name the tiers so you can accurately represent your opinions on the villagers!I’m excited to see how it changes once I’ve had all the villagers!Below is my ranking!(I did also try to rank them in their individual tiers as well which I managed to do for all of them except the ‘Not my style’ tiers because the website kept freezing)
